Government employment also saw a substantial uptick, with 71,000 new jobs added in March. Additionally, employment in leisure and hospitality rose by 49,000 in March, marking a return to pre-pandemic levels seen in February 2020, with an average monthly growth of 37,000 jobs over the past year.

Despite some caution surrounding an election year, several hiring managers have expressed no intention of slowing down and even anticipate ramping up hiring efforts once the Fed initiates interest rate cuts.
